Settling for Second Best

I have been encountering this idea over and over for the last few days. In our lives, we take second best instead of Best sometimes.

I heard Louie Giglio speak two weeks ago at Catalyst about our worship. We do often get caught up in the idea and the experience and make the worship about how we feel. Our worship is meant to be of a Majestic and Awesome God.

Our lives are about so many things. We chase around doing a lot of stuff - very, very often good stuff, but do we sometimes take second best for the best that God offers for our lives. Do we give up the reality of a life fully devoted to him for the second best results of a life lived trying to prove something to Him?

Thank you God for knowing me and still loving me. Thank you for working in my life when I don't even realize it. And God I do give you my worship because you are Majestic and Awesome and Worthy!
